Of course not. But they seem to know what it's like to be a doctor.

See the Daily Mail (or on line)today. An article by the former head of the BMA- says it all with regard to the legitimacy of the Junior Doctors claims

I don't think anything published in the Daily Mail counts as evidence for anything. Try this (if it works)

Well, if the strike fails, the government wins. Doctors will abandon the NHS in droves, and the government will be able to use the excuse to dismantle the NHS and let the US corporates as they want to under TTIP.

If the government accepts the demands of the doctors, then the government wins. They will claim that result is massively increased costs for the NHS which are unsustainable and therefore they will be able to dismantle the NHS by letting the US corporates in as they want to under TTIP.

Either way the NHS is not going to survive as we know it.

Thanks. I'll have to go out to my car and read it as my house has been declared a Daily Mail-free Zone.

US Corporates will have to hire doctors authorised to practice by the BMA ..

Not if TTIP gets ratified the way it's currently looking. If a health care company wants to employ a doctor that they would be able to employ in the US, then the BMA would have to back down - or they and the UK Government could be sued.

Under TTIP, it matters not a jot what the government or the UK professional bodies want, they have to comply with the 'least obstructive' law. This is in the name of promoting "free trade on a level playing field".
