Oddly enough (desperately trying to stay on the original track) I have never even thought about adding tunes to this cacophony of sound! I've tried the Bose Quiet Comfort line and while they work great on jets, as they eliminate the subsonic thrumming of the engines quite well, they are not so good at variable pitches coming off the V-twin. The best luck I've had with them was on a tractor set at 3k rpm. The best ear protection are those foam ear plugs made by 3M and such. Adding music would be adding more decibels like music to an already overloaded system, being the human.

Quite frankly, I have been glad to be able to hear what's going on with this contraption as the audio input of the engine has given me warnings long before other ques, like silence, as a part departs the car or dies or fails catastrophically whilst taking out other pieces of the drive train.

This damn car insists that I pay attention!

I'm not going to get into an argument about what nosier, but my 110" Harley with de-catted header pipes and 2.5" baffles barks with the best of them.

I have the factory Harman Kardon head unit but have upgraded to 7.25" front three way speakers with their 200w amp. At 80 mph I can hear my tunes just fine and my wife hears them from the back just fine.

I'm sure that the M3W has a bit more clatter noise, with the BB, belt etc, but don't count out a good set of speakers and an inexpensive amp. I'm thinking about $600 and you could have a system that's probably going to work.

I'll admit that I would be one of the first to add tunes regardless of the noise. I've been riding motorcycles for over 51 years and the ones with the tunes make me happy.

I'd suggest getting a good battery powered Bluetooth single speaker, maybe a Bose Soundlink and try it out. I have the portable Bose Soundlink and they put out some good sound. It would be worth a try to see just how loud you would need for a true setup in the M3W.

IMHO - as long as listening to music on motorcycles works, it will also work in a M3W.

one or two UE megabooms might do the job:
if two, they link together for stereo.

One possible small difference: the wide open plains (and roads) of the Land of the Free, vs the smaller highly populated roads (and concentration of urban areas) in Europe. On US road trips I've sometimes been delighted to see another vehicle - in Europe I'd be amazed if I didn't see one (or pedestrian or cyclist). So music noise pollution is a potential issue...

For that I would suggest a second bevel box !

wide open plains? you should check where Harley Davidson's "speaker driven" Electra Glide and Honda's Gold Wing or any other couch-with-motor-and-handlebar-and-speakers-motorcycle sold mostly within the last ... lets say 10 years.
those who ride with music don't care about the audience, in general.

some models offer speed-related volume. at least for the rider it sounds more acceptable when stopping at red light ;-)
