people have speakers around here all the time on Harleys. They have to absolutely blare the stuff, but you would be shocked how often you come across bikers with speakers on their bikes.

Yes..."bikers" often do have speakers. Motorcyclists seldom do. I've been riding for 48 years, belong to the Iron Butt club, and led a club of over 100 members. I put more miles on two wheels in a year than on four. Seems like the stereo systems are generally on the "geezer glides" that get about 500 miles a year on them on bar runs. This is not always the way things are but generally it's the way things are...posers vs. riders.

I assume the sound of M3W as laud as a Harley Davidson motorcycles and these bikes have a sound system pre-installed in them by factory. So why not a M3W?

I had a Harley Street Glide with factory stereo. It was useless at anything above parking lot speed. I wound up using it only when at a rest stop. When you're exposed to the insanity of cagers texting I think you want your eyes, and even your ears, at full use. I feel safer in my M3W, but it's a false sense. Get t-boned by some pimple faced teenager texting and it's all over in either. I wanna hear horns, ambulances, etc. and you need to blast music for it to be heard in an M3W. Just my take on it.

While music and 1000 miles a day may be possible in the Morgan, if these are your priorities then you really need to drive one and decide yourself. It would not be my vehicle of choice for music or long distances.
Having said that, the factory intercom works fine and has an input for music but does require a full face helmet which negates it's usefulness.

I have to agree on all points. Situational awareness is all important in these beasties. It has saved my bacon a few times. Usually prefaced by "What the...?"

As a long time member of the Iron Butt club, if you really do regularly hit 1,000 mile days you should certify and join the group. Most of us are proud to have planned and accomplished this even once. 1,000 miles a day is something most people fail to accomplish unless they've seriously prepped. I did it in 2006 on a Harley Sportster. As difficult as that is, my experience with the M3W would have me attempting on the Harley again given the choice. Granted, I'm ten years "more mature" now, but the inability to change position in the M3W, and my propensity to drive it as if I'd stolen it, has me wanting to climb out after an hour.

I have managed 540 miles in a day and still felt fresh with no aches or numbness. I doubt if I could do that in my daily driver with all mod cons.
