Well its finally back, 3 hours late (again) so another half day wasted from work..

I have to say I have never experienced such a disgraceful level of service from any company when purchasing a car, I am appalled frankly and it has ruined any excitement I had about the Aero.

The car was filthy when it was returned to top it all off, the creme interior covered in oil and grease marks.., all the shuts covered in dust, carpets need a vacuum, under bonnet filthy, paintwork covered in dried water spots that won't come off (so thats a few hours with the polish no doubt) an absolute joke.

Quite frankly I am reconsidering Morgan ownership at this point, I didn't even feel happy that she was back - moreover relieved that I hope I don't have to speak to RT again.

I do hope others don't put up with this level of service, as I certainly won't. A certain Mr Morris will be at my local dealer in a week, you can be sure I will be having words.

Regards,
Nick

That's a huge shame Nick. Just give it time. It's not the first time a Morgan has been returned from a dealer in less than ideal condition. I heard about a worse experience a couple of years ago, and not the same dealer.

I can only contrast this with my first Morgan experience. Having taken the risk of buying privately, the whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish, and there were no problems whatsoever from the car, which was three years old at the time.

Dried water spots can be a pain. I recently had some on my Golf. Normally I've used abrasive polish, but this time I tried vinegar, and it seemed to dissolve the ring quite easily, so you might give that a try.

Sorry to hear that Nick, I am sure Mr Morris will be very interested in your feedback. Sounds like the dealer should be ashamed of themselves, did you give them an opportunity to remedy the matter, or was it all too much.

Hang in there with you Aero I am sure you will grow to love it.

They appear to have remedied the issues but the hassle it has been to get there makes me wonder if its worth it.

Aside from that it was mint and clean when they collected it as I had just cleaned it, they said it had been valeted but by who - Stevie Wonder? So now I am going to have to spent hours cleaning it at my own expense.

Spoke to RT himself earlier after another promised phonecall failed to materialise and he came across quite arrogant, making it appear like he was doing me a huge favour delivering the car back today - no mention of an apology or anything.

Such a poor attitude, such a shame.

Pleased you have you mog back, but that level of service leaves a bitter taste.
If it was my mog I would be thinking, one more fault and I'll hit them where it hurts.

Hi Nick,
I sympathise with your situation, I cannot begin to think how I would feel having spent a lot of money and not being satisfied with the car or the service. It just isn't good enough.
Dave W is being encouraging in asking you to give it time, but time won't make your car any cleaner nor will it make your past contacts with your dealership any different.
It is very interesting that some of the most popular topics on this forum are concerned with bad design and poor service. I wonder how many prospective buyers are put off, or does it matter when there is a queue of buyers.
I wish you luck and hope things start to get better for you.

Peter

Really pleased you have the car back and hope you can get on with the enjoying of it now.

It has been nothing short of a miserable introduction to Aero ownership but lets hope that's all history now and it really is sorted, find a really good route and enjoy it.

I am frankly amazed at the level of customer care that Nick has suffered.
Although I have never purchased anything from the said dealer, I have met him a couple of times and found him to be a really nice chap. Perhaps it was just one of those days when the eye was off the ball.
I really hope Nick, that you bounce back from this and start to enjoy your car.

Here for a good time not a long time!!
