I`m thinking of designing a new car - do you think MMC would be interested - although it would probably appeal to a high volume manufacturer. Additional design ideas welcome.
The car is called the School Runner and is to cater for the obvious need for such a vehicle.
It will, of course, be a 4x4 and will have parking sensors which will not allow parking anywhere closer than 3 feet away from the curbside, additionally the sensors will detect yellow lines and zig-zag lines and automatically park the car on those. The doors will automatically open to 90 degrees and ejector seats will deposit passengers into the road on both sides. It will be a lightweight model so indicators will not be available as an option but there will be brakelights only one of which will work intermittently. There will be a moblile phone detector in the car which will only allow the engine to run when the mobile phone is in use. The wheels will be runflat without valves as the tyres will never be checked likewise the dipstick will be welded into the engine block as it will never be used - however there will be another dipstick in the driver`s seat. The car will have a maximum range of 400yards as that is the longest distance it will travel. It will have an enhanced turning circle for U turns in the middle of the road. The reverse gear will have a sensor that will only allow reversing out of a parking space or a drive. The internal mirror wil be fixed on the driver`s face for application of lipstick etc. There will also be a special holder for takeaway packaging which will automatically eject them out of a window when a country lane is detected. Windows will be tinted so nobody can see in (or out) and the audio will be set at a minimum of 120dB(pain threshold). Upon exiting the vehicle the doors will automatically slam shut and sensors will ensure the slam will be louder between midnight and 7am. It will run on both petrol and diesel so there is no risk of filling with the wrong fuel. White line sensors will make sure that on cornering or turning right the vehicle stays on the right hand side of the road.
I think I`m on a winner here - anyone want to join me on Dragons` Den?

I drive past a primary school every morning, it'd be a real winner there!

... or (stealth-) BLACK, all over.

(including the grey-ish to black-from-factory VAST alloy rims)

Forgot to add - only available in Silver/Grey so they become invisible in the early morning mist/fog.They cannot switch on the lights within daylight hours even if visibility is zero. At night, of course, only main beam is available.

Got it in one, we live right beside the rear gates to a secondary school.
It's hell from 8am to 8.45am and worse from 2.45pm to 3.25pm.
This type of car has periodically blocked my drive, and we've been given evils if we've dared to be so bold as to exit the drive or return home between these times. The drivers of these vehicles beep their horns at the snotty offspring after they've dropped them off in the morning, why?
The snotty offspring obviously have limited limb use and need collecting or dropping off and can't be arsed to walk, cycle or catch a bus.
Moral of the story, never buy a house next to a school.

Oh, and not mentioning the cheeky bastards that use my drive as a turning facility. Seriously thinking of installing a stinger.
