Would someone who has the latest Cambelt cover, with the two horizontal slots cut in the front face be kind enough to measure them and tell me the width of the slots and both of their lengths.

2.3 mm wide. The top one is 76mm in length. The bottom one is 51 mm in length.
The big hole in the bottom is 57mm long and about 9mm wide (couldn't get my calipers in there because of the license plate bar which I chose not to remove!).

The slots are immediately below the raised portions on lower part of cover casting. Careful work with a Dremel and cutting disc should make a neat job.



Note that the latest casting has spacers to mounting bolt points built in, saving the need for spacer washers.

You could always use the confederate cover, it has two slots down low.
