Hello everyone. I'm likely to be buying a Mk 3 Aero in the coming days, and I'm trying to find information on protection in the event of a roll. I know it's an unlikely event, but having been involved in a high speed roll early in my driving career (fortunately not to blame) and given I occasionally track my cars, I thought rather safe than even balder! wink

Stephen,

Someone may know different, but I've only seen 1 aero with roll over protection and that took the form of some discrete hoops.

I believe that these were fitted by Allon Whites as a one off, so you may have to do some hunting about to find what you want.

i have a full rear cage for a series one but i dunno if it would fit any other marque. you would however have to shorten it slightly as it is too high for a hood to go over.

Hope this helps!

Another solution is to train your neck muscle very very very hard.

Isn't the screen reinforced anyway?
Surely it wouldn't have passed regulations when introduced otherwise?

Sure if you're me in an S1 and your head sticks up higher than the screen it's more of a concern.

S2 and later cars sit you lower / have higher screen so solve this issue.

Find out who the race teams used. Safety devices I think have a design off the shelf.
