Went to a post wedding party last evening...had to take Tarka.
As always lots of interest, but very surprised by the level of knowledge... one guest told me that the door locks are from the back doors of a 4 door Defender...not the front as I'd thought. Is it so?
The photographer and his wife knew exactly what Tarka is, but turns out they are TVR nuts...own a blue Tuscan Speed 6... so not really surprised.
Driving back in the dark through the leafy lanes, hood down of course, was a wonderful end to a great evening, and yes, the bride looked stunning!

He's right, the locks in the Defender front doors are inside the skin just like the locks on normal cars. Morgan uses the units from the back doors.

Peter be mindful of pheasants this time of year my son has just had his replacement car (for his other that was written off by a pheasant) lose a foglight to a pheasant in the space of a month! Foglamp on my desk awaiting a bit of trimming of the epoxy putty repairs.
I'd hate to see Tarka as part of a game pie!

Car hasn't left the tiefgarage all week. In a couple of weeks we are spending the weekend at Schwangau, and Neuschwanstein Castle. This was the castle which featured in the ChittyChittyBangBang film. Should be good in the Speedster - and a test as its 1200km in one weekend. PLEASE take lots of pictures!! That should look absolutely fantastic. :0)

I'd hate to see Tarka as part of a game pie! Phesants everywhere! I'm more worried by deer...dusk and dawn the big risk time. Driving yesterday I saw two deer bodies on the roadside. Admitidley the chance of me being out at dawn is about the same as winning the lottery....but evenings are another matter.

I've been out and about today - beautiful weather here and a car that is just magical in the sunshine. I wouldn't swap it for anything. Seriously. I have to take my son back to his school this evening - a 2 hour round trip. Great!

Unfortunately mine was still broken this morning! However a fiddle of the wires 'might' have solved the issue, in which case I hope to have her on the road again this week!
