On my last tour crossing D/F/Ch/It/A the turnswitch of the heating fan disintegrated.
When replacing the switch the garage changed the circuit bord as well. Is the turn switch part of the board - or were they just creative in getting more revenue on a simple repair?
(I got significant discount on the circuit board as they installed a pre used board - but still not a cheap issue for my 2011 4/4)
Any experts out there with an answer?

A belated reply but the switch is soldered to three wires which can be cut and joined. The factory does this.

A lazy dealer would simply change out the entire board..

I believe the switch is separate from the board.

From my experience if the boards working leave well alone. I've just had the third fitted due to recent fog light and heater fan switch issues.
