Following extensive googling and trawling through this forum.....

What is the best source of upgrades to either of the upgraded performance stage kits? I see nothing on Morgan's website, but note other people provide them. Ideally I'd go for a factory kit....so where would one find specs and prices etc?

Have I missed something obvious?

No you haven't missed anything obvious, I had the same problem, when trying to get a price for the Morgan Stage 1 kit.

I eventually phoned the factory and got a price and then had to order through a dealer, in theory your dealer should be able to give you a price.

Price wise Morgan or specialist dealer are quite close.
Performance is a different issue.
Krazy horse and G56 have thier own take on this as does Aero racing, who are all Morgan dealers.
It depends who much bang for the buck or noise you want.

Thank you.

ok..so they do offer them.

My gut feeling is that 'out of the box' the Mog needs more poke, 82hp being short.

I wouldn't be interested in being faster than anyone else, but a few more ponies would improve the drivability. Has anyone got a grasp of what each stage is good for?

Specs quoted by various sources give the stage 1 at 116bhp and 125 lbft torque. A conservative figures by most estimates.

Bearing in mind this is not a car engine, different dealers have dfferent options, some are more Motorcycle orientated.

I fitted the MMC Stage 1 to get rid of the pinking due to the restrictive standard exhausts.

It transformed the car, it now revs freely to the red line and is a much livelier and nicer drive.

I understand G56 and MMC Stage 1 to be similar in terms of power/torque increase.

From what I hear Krazy Horse is louder but may give a few more ponies.

When drove their demonstrater, it when like there was no tomorrow.

Red lines in nearly all gears with no wheel slip, this is more likely to do with spax adjustables correctly set.

Awsome!!

I being in USA ordered a stage 2 from my Morgan dealer, after calling S&S who makes the motor for Morgan as you may know. I feel the stage 2 was the best option to let the motor breath as it should. I own three Harley Davidsons two have stage 2 motor kits and they both have made a big difference in the way they run, running cooler, better fuel mileage, and power delivery. 😀

As I posted in my ether post. S&S told me stage 2 gives 10 more HP and 21 ft lb of torque. Stock motor gives 70 torque at 2500rpm then at 3000rpm it's 80. With stage 2 gives 98 torque at 2000 then at 100 at 3000rpm stays flat till 4500rpm then starts to drop off. It also is suppose to take care of the 4000 and up rpm pinging. I do like these numbers for the way I want to drive my M3W.

I don't know where you live but I think best you should call your Morgan dealer for pricing and I do like to keep my car as much Mogan as I can.
