I know most folks are sick to death of the whole referendum debate, but I thought that this quiz was quite interesting

Pleased with my performance as I came in at 5% variance.

Very interesting.

A very interesting quiz. I am horrified to find that I am an "average" Guardian reader by being at variance by 11%.
I could never see me reading such a paper, it just goes to show what you can achieve with a quiz.

Wonder what the average Daily Star reader comes in at?

"You are the average Guardian reader.
You were only 9 percentage points away from the right answer. The average reader was 11 points away from the right answer."

Interesting quiz thumbs

Just spent ages reading Der Spiegel on line - some interesting stuff

Yes, very interesting, I was also a Guardian-reading 11%er - which is about what I'd expected, given that I do read the Guardian. I also read the Times for balance, lest it be thought I'm a ranting lefty smile

Interesting test. I am an Norwegian who never read a UK paper and got a 12% score. Hope people living in England get a much better score so the woting is based on facts rather than emotions.

I got 27% - my excuse is that I counted us as EU citizens. I thought we were!

Ragnar - most Brits wont be basing their voting on facts. Its been impossible to get any facts because the two opposing campaigns give different biased interpretation of every aspect of the issue, and this is compounded by media who dont know a fact from an MPs expense claim.

I suppose Clipper that the response to Der Spiegel is that if we leave there is a chance that the shock will cause the EU to change. If our bid to leave fails, I dont see any reason why they should change.

As for us, I am not optimistic either way.

If you cast your minds back 3 years to that sad day that Francois Hollande won the French presidential election, you may remember the then Mayor of London telling French people that they were all welcome in the UK's capital. He backed it up by mentioning (ad nauseam) that London was France's 5th or 6th biggest city in terms of population. Apparently Bojo's no longer so keen. What a nasty opportunistic little dermot he is. (As it turns out, we didn't all have to leave France, because the EU prevented Hollande from carrying out the worst excesses of his policy proposals......)

In a time when all around are spreading strife and discord, how much better if we can offer conciliation, cooperation and goodwill rather than selfishness and mean spirited narrow self-interest.
