Good Afternoon All,

I'm considering buying a new Series 5 Aero. I have come close quite a few times now to nearly buying an Aero but for one reason or another never had to privilege of owning one yet.

Does anyone know if the internal cabin dimensions are any different with the S5, it would be positive for me if it had a little more cabin room when compared to a Super Sport smile

I've also been looking for any videos / reviews but there seems to be none available on the internet yet. Is anyone aware of any articles, or have press not had the opportunity to try one yet?

I am hoping to get to a dealership in the next week or so to have a look at one in the flesh.

Has anyone on here ordered an S5 yet and awaiting delivery? I was wondering what the time frame now was from order / deliver - I understand perhaps the dealership is my best bet to ask these questions.

Thank you and hopefully I can finally join the Morgan family

Hi,

I am just under 6', but long legged, I weigh in at 80kg and find it fine, a friend who is quite a bit more portly found his shoulder was up against the door trim. Best to sit in and try I think.

cheers

Adrian

About 10 threads below this is a 200 test drive in an S5 aero by "shooter", I would be giving him a call/pm for a chat. I believe he has had or does own other variants as well as a comparison.

SDJ, I would suggest getting along to your nearest dealer to give it a try. I'm guessing the guys in Cwmbran would be closest and they have a nice blue demonstrator.

Alternatively, further down the M4 you have RTCC who have one you can try.

My gut feeling is it is probably about the same internal dimensions as the SS but I can't say for sure. What I would say about the S5 is that the doors open much better than the S4 for ease of getting in and out especially if you are either of larger build or have back/mobility issues (I always have 2 and sometimes all 3 of those!)

You might want to check to see if there is a difference between the auto and the manual as well because there may be a difference in gearbox tunnel width.

I doubt there is any real difference....but the redesigned rear suspension might have resulted in a bit more space...no idea really.

I've driven the white and burgundy demo cars and compared to the driving position of my Plus 8 (Super Sport Chassis): in my view there is no difference.

The seats look exactly the same and feel the same. You can gain a few cm extra space with the Tillett seats , but I don't find them at all comfortable.

I'm 1.73m and weigh, i believe, 82kg.... the seats are snug. As the car is an auto there is plenty of foot room.

Do not go to Williams and test drive one while the Spaniels are about!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to try and get to sit in one next week and will keep you updated on how I get on. I wonder if Morgan will have a stand at Goodwood FOS?
