Is there anywhere to stick the remote 'in' nipple just under the front somewhere, rather than in the bonnet area?
I just need a good pumping position..
On My +4 I have an Alemite grease gun mounted next to the steering column in the cockpit. When I want to grease the King Pins I just turn the handle of the grease gun. Problem - does one stub axle get all the grease and the other gets none?
On My +8 I have zerks on top of the King Pins. Easy to get to over the top of the tires.
On My DHC there is a fitting in the engine compartment near the bulkhead with two zerks. Grease gun on clips mounted on the end of the bulkhead.
On all 3 of My Morgans I use Hard Chrome Pins. I drill a grease galley with a 3/16" long drill down the length of the KP to between the bushes and cross drill with a 1/8" drill to let the grease flow out. This drilling is a 6 pack of Beer Job. Takes a bit of time as the drill chips must be cleared about every 1/4". I use the standard bolt in the top with a hole for the grease fitting. It is BS (British Standard) so I use a BS tap to fit it.
This system involved several years of trial and error. I do not like to crawl on My belly to grease the bushes while on a "Run"!!!!
Now with Peter Mulberry's Spiral Bronze Bushes and Colin's expertise My "Labor Intensive" method is unnecessary. Go For It!
