Wonderful stufff.
I still have a box of "long" socket/light switch screws so may do the same.
The difference may also explain why I can never get my brake/tail lights quite tight in the holder as per the different length issue above.

Don't forget the O-ring for the screw head! Stops water ingress. A common-ish issue. My n/s indicator bulb was rusted in solidly due to the lens filling with water hence no chance or replacing a failed bulb. Bought a replacement bulb holder unit.. Temp solution was drill drain holes 1mm tried first but ended up with 2mm.
