Thank you "The Seeker" what a quick efficient response! I am glad I enrolled with Talk Morgan. Only have just over 2,000 miles on my 2014 model but all fun so far. I must say I have been a little alarmed about the problems owners have reported from the bevel box. I now find myself listening for every tiny squeak. I have wired in my Harley Davidson Garmin Zumo Sat Nav and mounted the bracket onto one of the dashboard domed bolts. It works a treat and brings the speed info much more readily to the eye. Thanks again. Meridian

Hi M3W owners..............further to my post about oil changes. I have fitted an EZOil Drain Valve and it works a treat..Thank you for the info. Whilst struggling underneath to remove the oil filter I noted that my 2014 M3W has a 46mm "inspection" hole in the Torque Compensator Bell Housing. Thinking that a blanking grommet had been omitted or lost I contacted Morgan. It appears that on earlier M3W's there was a grease nipple on the torque compensator which required access and it was also a drain plug? They said there is no reason why a blank/grommet should not be inserted but there was no dedicated Morgan part!I tried to source one on line and all the local parts shops ... all to no avail. Eventually, discussing the problem at my local flying club, was able to find a blanking plug used in aviation. It is a beautiful interference fit and can be tapped flush but is then easily removed with a flat bladed screwdriver without damage to the housing or the plug. So far I have done about 50 miles (wx permitting!) and the plug has remained in place and has not caused any problems with the transmission. Next time you are under your M3W looking for the engine oil drain plug (I was staggered that M3W owners could not find the engine oil plug and would consider an oil change with out fully draining the oil!!) Have a look around and see if you have an open inspection hole in the torque compensating housing. If so think of all the road dirt and gundge that is going to accumulate there? Happy motoring.....

So with the slot in the top of the compensator adapter housing for the steering rack, how does the water from washing or rain drain out of the housing?
Is there a tiny slot where the adapter mounts to the trans?

Hi Dan-Lockwood......point well made.... but I would rather take the blanking grommet out from under the torque compensator housing every week or so to drain out any water than risk the amount road dirt and gundge that will enter via a 46mm hole that is 6 inches off the road!! The position of the slot for the steering rack is much less likely to let in dirt as well as moisture. The blanking plug I have sourced is an aircraft part and at the moment the store man at the flying club is on leave ..... hopefully I can get a part number when he returns.....watch this space!

In the meantime I have sent an example (my only spare!) of the blanking plug to Morgan to see if they have an opinion on it. Just to make sure the use of the plug won't upset something I haven't even thought of? The blanking plug fitted to my M3W has remained firmly in place. I hope, wx permitting, to be at Beaulieu this Sunday for the 1000 Bikes (I hope they let me in with my extra wheel?). More than happy to let anyone look at my Torque Compensator Housing Grommet.......if you see what I mean....

Well I'm still not sure how the water drains out of the housing, but I know MMC won't have a problem with you using a plug.
To my best recollection, the early M3W's came without a grease fitting in the compensator and there was no hole in the bottom of the housing.
I hope it works out for you. It will definitely help to reduce the debris in the housing.
