Just spent two hours - yes really!! - fitting the new Donmog and the 80th year of 4/4 badges to the grille - nothing went right and although the first took 10 mins the second took nearly two hours. Tomorrow I will fit the new TM badge- hope that goes on quicker.
New Mulfab radiator coming next week - fitted on Thursday so should be all ready for TOTH. The old radiator is still OK but nearing six years and it is one of those plastic jobbies so I thought it better to replace it before it starts to crack.

The 80th badge is cursed. It took me 90 minutes to fit after dropping a nut down the front of the radiator grill. I eventually retrieved it usin a stiff wire tipped with Evo stik. What a bugger!

Fitting badges on badge bars is one of the most fiddly, knuckle scrapingly, spanner cursingly, nut and bolt droppingly, knee hurtingly jobs on a Morgan

Looks good when you've done it though, admiring your badges with an extremely well earned cup of tea

Nope - that job is fitting the rims to the headlights, keeping the retaining clip in place, aligning the screw and getting it to bite without moving the retaining clip. Work of the devil! Added to the limited access of the indicator lamp and spot lamp!

I had exactly the same experience - losing a nut and wondering where the hell it had gone.
Some bendy garden wire fished it out.
As you say, what a bugger of a job for what it is.

Save your knuckles: offer up the badge to the clip and put a long thin bolt through one of the holes; with your other hand use a small clamp like the one illustrated to hold the badge and clip together; putting the correct nut and bolt in the other hole is now easy. smile

I first fit the badge and clip with a longer bolt and a nut on the badgebar. Than I use the correct Bolt on the other side and change the longer one.

It would work however I have set my badge bar low infront of a full width bumper so there is no room to manoeuvre such a contraption
