Well I just have to be different. Mine emits a continuous, extremely loud, high pitched buzzing sound, which is incredibly irritating even for a short period. Many thanks for the advice, I'll try and put tape over it or get an auto electrician to fit an inline resistor, failing that purchase the seat belt plug.

Why not plug the belts in and just sit on it?

The problem is not the issue of driving with the seat belt unplugged but stopping the car and removing the belt when parked. The noise is very loud and grating and will only stop when key is out of ignition.
It is surprising how often you find yourself parked up but need the ignition on for something. :-)

A far better explanation of the problem than mine! Unfortunately I seem to have given the idea I wanted to drive the car without fastening the seat belt. Worthers +8

I am probably too young but I start driving with the seat belt obligation. I am so used to it that I cannot move the car without wearing it.

On my S2 I had a beeper. I found a small cable/connector at the base of the belt socket, when I unplugged it this stopped the bleeping if I was not plugged in. I would have expected it to fail-cause bleep but in fact it fails-quiet.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
