We are on our way back from the Grossglockner, Austrias highest mountain. We were above 2500m yesterday. Temperatures very close to freezing point and fine ice cristals polishing our faces at the pass road. What a hillclimbe! Left lots of motorbikes behind when we did the uphill part...

More than additional 1000miles on the clock since last friday afternoon. Great fun, great scenery, low temperatures and plenty of rain today. The boys and an old guy up in the mountains.

I agree I went to Pennan where they filmed Local Hero, note the famous red phone box. It was too hot yesterday 27C when I got home, I little cooler at Pennan. The heat & BB whine were getting to me. The road down to Pennan is very steep & narrow, likewise neighbouring Gardenstown. If you lived there you would have to find somewhere at the top of the hill to keep your M3W in winter.
