On an S3, can you only open the boot with the ignition turned on? confused2

I know about the manual override, but just seems a wee pain when you return to the car with stuff to put into it.

There is the spare button on the remote fob (but its a panic facility I think), mine does nothing?

Cheers

But it secures the boot when the roof is down and you're not around.

Mine opens all the time but means I cant leave anything of value in the boot when hood down, or even when hood up as effectively a stanley knife and they're in frown

Cheers

Hi Matt, it's the same on my car - I have to turn the ignition on (not the engine) to open the boot. I'll try the fob next time I'm out and let you know if it opens the boot, but I somehow doubt it. smile

The fob opens the boot of the S4 but not the S3.
