Hello all , after roaming over the web and include in TM , i didn't see so much Morgan tuned ( not Jacky Style ) but let say for example replace the ugly rear light or have a better solution in side mirror than outsourced simple things , i am wondering if it's because almost all owner are too traditional or less of knowledge (or similar reason), maybe the lack of part available, i cannot said it's lack of taste as for have a Morgan you should have some pretty good taste.

Anyway i am curious to know and i would like to have some opinion of our community member

Perry even in the 30" many coach builder take car an modify them, in my point of view without damaging the overall looking have many things can be done , just a single example the front bonnet can be fixed in one piece and open from front to rear and can even maybe keep the same closing.

in the rear the light is far from perfect, a different style and looking of the Lucas one can be easily made.

Some already mod their dashboard but i am sure a good creative designer can come out with an other design with destroying the main idea, MK have for made dash board with 2 glove box, some use MIG clock so the possibilities is almost endless.

i found it's not, if we talk about the color and MMC option you cannot so much said is tuned , i consider more this as factory option, when you made a dashboard made by MK this is tuned , when you buy a rear wheel cover this is also ...

Have even today several coach builder, i know some, i have ask Mark Nugent (it's a famous Australian builder) is reply is simple he said already several years i dream to work in a Morgan but he said the 2 peoples approach him be too conservative or not really sure if they want, so this cannot really be consider as the majority of us.

A Morgan is an icon so very limited adaptations are acceptable

In the English language the word Tuning generally refers to mechanical refinement relating to engine/gearbox and running gear to get better performance. The link you supplied with the photos would be generally considered customising or body modification with no real gain for performance.

With respect to Morgans they have been tuned and undergone mechanical tuning in many forms over the past 80 years if you look into it. In fact fully modified racing traditional Morgans tend to have the wood frame replaced with a tubular birdcage type frame to increase strength and chassis rigidity, and then the body fitted over. A more conservative approach is generally taken with respect to customising a Morgan, after all it is a wonderful classic profile cosmetically already, so why spoil it!

Why would you want the bonnet in one piece to open from the front.
Maybe your coachbuilder could modify a VW Bettle bonnet to fit!
The Morgan is the only car I have driven that is loved by the very young to the older folks.
So why change !

One of the items mentiond was the mirrors. I ordered my car with the optional internal stainless or chrome backed mirror and round side mirrors. Like everyone I found the passenger side mirror impossible to set satisfactorily and I ordered as set of mirrors from http://www.morganhoods.com/id31.html

I agree that the rear and indicator lights could be improved but one would have to be very careful not to destroy the aesthetics of the car.

hum hum , this is just an example , and the bonnet in one piece can be quite good for mechanical maintenance.

i am not talking about Jacky customising i am more talking about some details witch can made te car more beauty than is it actually
