Dear all

Have any of you bought the item below, PoorBoys Wheel Sealant, to help keep clean wire wheels? If you have, does it do what it says on the tin?

I have a tub of that. Bought for when I had wires on previous car. Applied 3 times a year taking wheels off to clean is a must though. I think it did help with reducing dirt build up in what is a tough environment.
I use it on the alloys on present car and it seems to help when washing by reducing dirt sticking to wheels. A bit like waxing the car's paintwork.
It is a wax to use AFTER cleaning.
I used a soft cloth to apply it to the wires....a pain to do with all the crooks and nannies!
Put it on sparingly.
Ajob to do in warm weather sitting on a lawn. Be peepared for sore fingers after pushing them between wires!
There are many other similar type products available too from other suppliers.

I've not used it on wires but do use it in my alloys and it does work. I rather like PoorBoys products, their polish compounds and waxes are excellent.

Having bought new SS tubeless wire wheels and tyres, then spent some seven hours with my other half cleaning the old wheels (which I subsequently sold) I would like to try to relieve the tedium of having to carry out a similar major scrub up! Yes I know that it all takes time and effort, but every little helps!

Feedback comments on the Amazon Website have been very positive. I think that I'll take the plunge and get some - Noting that the wheel should be worked on off the car!
