To be honest, I would go for one of the higher-spec models, although they're a bit more expensive I find the recondition and supply modes to be very useful. Something like the MXS 5.0 would be very good. +1

Just purchased a C-TEK last week only problem is the wires out of it are not very long compared with the Airflow I have had for years it gave up the ghost . Yes I know C TEK do an extension but its only 2.5m and I don't want wires across the bonnet . They should do a 5m one, a case of several cars in a large garage none close to plugs and you are snookered .

I use mine like a plug in: it's wired to the battery with the lead through the saddle board, so when I come back from a drive I just plug it straight into the mains via an extension cable.Battery still good afyer seven years.

At the risk of repeating the obvious, it's a CTEK XS 0.8 for me.
I have had one for a year now, and use the cigar(?) socket.
Excellent purchase.

CTEK. I use the direct to battery connector that came with it as the powerciggy socket connection is a bit loose and occasionally poor connection. My battery is under the bonnet so no need for leads from the rear axle mounted locations.

Another vote for CTEK, excellent product. Also supplied as standard equipment with the McLaren so it meet's Ron's high standards too!

I have a pair of Optimates, nothing beats them imo.
They even save some older batteries 👍

CTEK x2 here also (Multi XS 3600). No problems for many, many years.
On the Morgan the connection is directly across the battery, via a Bulgin 2-pin panel mounting plug that a previous owner thoughtfully installed just behind the driver's seat. If you're out there and reading this - well done!
