I had an advisory on mot last year for fns kingpin.
forward a year and clean forget to sort it
I have 23 days to get it sorted for mot
I would normally do such work myself but have no garage to work in. A Welsh roadside is not the place to lay on tarmac
Any suggestions

Hi, I would recommend Lifes motors, southport, not sure how far it is from you but the fish and chips in southport are pretty good!!

Brownbaker knows of somebody very good at Hollywell who has just serviced his 4/4 and replaced the kingpins, very reasonable too. I think they race old 3 wheelers and very knowledgeable on all things Morgan.

the penalty of living in the country.

I could do with the details of the place in Holywell, as that's only 60miles away

next year should be OK As I'm busy with planning dept to get a three car garage and workshops built

You're probably nearer to Kevin Vernon who knows everything worth knowing and not knowing about Morgans. He might be busy with the racing season still as he looks after a historic racing team as well.

Otherwise ask Brownbaker for the guy he knows in Hollywell.

I had an advisory on a kingpin on its first MOT. I am still on the same and no advisory 7 years and 20,000 miles later.
Kingpin wear seems to depend on how hard the examiner pulls and the thickness of the grease!
I use a local garage that regularly looks after old cars for my MOT. They see no problem in a little play in the kingpin and as it was there when new neither do the Morgan Motor Company.
My advice use a garage used to old cars and 100 year old suspension design.
