I don't know why Morgan changed the cap. On my 2012, the cap with the dipstick, there is a recess inside and an "O" ring inserted. Seems to be one thing they did right on the first 3 wheelers. I don't see why you can't have the o ring recess machined in to all the newer caps---Mine doesn't leak a drop.

My manual talks about the dipstick. I was wondering what my level indicator is. There are two horizontal "bridges" inside the tank... to the forward side. I'm assuming they are high and low indicators.

Yes that I think is correct. But you know they cant slip a new page into that manual to update. Where would the adventure be in that?
Ford and Mazda used to send out a sticker that would go over the changed text to update it. Simple.

Just shy of 27,000 miles. Look to the bolts holding the muffler shields as the first casualty. There will be more. I periodically go over the car and loosening items do surprise me.


What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Buy this to fit after first oil change, replaces oil tank plug, so tank has to be empty. Also buy one of the hose adapters, straight or 90 degree. I use the 90 degree adapter with a long hose, drain oil right into a jug :

Yes it's a great item.VERY CLEAN, EASY & QUICK. Instead of doing the hoses at the engine & worrying of them leaking or having to change the clamps from time to time. Even though you will still have some old oil with fresh oil, it shouldn't be a problem, if your oil changes aren't till the oil is burnt. Highly Recommended

Well, what I did in the first week I had mine was about 800 miles, an oil change and then drove to Holland in a torrential downpour just before Christmas. I did cheat and take a boat for the bit across the North Sea.
