Hi,

Does anyone know which Lucas part number these side indicator lenses have (the tiny ones in the side wings – not the front indicators)?

I am looking for either clear or dark (black?) lenses to replace the amber ones…
“Dark” ones like these front ones:

Thanks a lot for you help! cheers

Try s.v.c.co.uk or holden.co.uk - they stock several alternatives, including chrome-rimmed ones (lovely!)

Are you refering to the L594 ones?
Would this be the correct reference number and would I need single or double contact ones?
Sorry for the maybe stupid question... frown

Hey Sven,

i think you´d need the double contact ones, as you have to have them "grounded". I didn´t investigate, but as your wings are nade from aluminium - should be correct to have a seperate ground-wiring i suppose... stars

I looked everywhere but could not find replacement clear lenses for the side repeater indicators. Eventually I had a pair made for me by a machinist, from a block of clear acrylic.

The lenses are just a push fit into the rubber grommet, for a competent machinist it would be easy to copy the dimensions.

You then would need orange bulbs. I could not source the correct bulbs easily in orange, though they must be available (in my Volvo wing mirrors for example), so I painted clear bulbs with Tamiya clear orange enamel - a model paint, one small tin will do hundreds! It's been through the MOT since, no issues.

I will post some photos later.

Photos as promised. These side repeater lenses are not commercially available, but were turned on a lathe from cast acrylic rod (and not by me I should add!).
I do already have clear front and rear indicator lenses, which are standard Lucas parts available used or as new items made from the original moulds (SVC have the fronts, the rears were from Ebay).

Yellow LEDs might have done for the bulb?
Cheers,
