12200 miles since February 2014 = an average of 4800 per year.

I love driving and up here in Scotland, we have miles of empty twisty roads, I've had my Ferrari for 3 1/2 years and driven 17,000miles in it, I've had my caterham for 1 1/2 years and driven 6000 miles in that. Anything goes except salt, rain or shine, whatever. Only about a tenth of that has been main roads mind you and mostly it's just flying about for the sake of it, I have another car for sensible journeys.

I should have a Morgan by October, but I'm not getting rid of anything, it will be used to the full at every opportunity.

I'm impressed with your effort perry! Let the next guy worry about the mileage.

Around 5,500 miles per year which includes one France trip and close on 150 miles every time we potter up the M6 for our regular Fellmog runs.

It used to bug me that people would buy a Morgan and then never drive it.
But…..now I'm of the opinion that if it gives you pleasure just owning it and never driving it, then what the hell. As has been said, just popping out to the garage for a look (and a sniff!!!) is in its self, pleasurable!!
Obviously they're more fun if you take them out for a good thrashing, or a steady run round the lanes!
To most people they're a toy, or a long awaited reward, but if you can afford one, then, do what ever makes you happy.

I live next to the Thames and the number of boats that just sit there, moored up, from one season to the next is amazing……..

By the way, 2000 miles in the last month. Nowhere special, just driving it for the hell of it!!!!

You have to be almost unique! Mine has averaged 1250 miles a year and that seems pretty typical.
What model is it?



Thats very common - same in my marina. But in the case of boats you can live on them / use them as a waterside cottage. I was once shown two big powerboats in a south coast marina that had been supplied new without engines - as the broker explained, where in Poole could you get a waterside pied a terre for just 300k?

What's the ownership cost experience of a Ferrari Howard so far?

Tend to think that dealers might use(assumed) rich owners as cash cows.

Average milage 7000 with the 4/4 and some 3000 with the M3W.
I wonder what others do with their time. Just polishing their Mogs?

I recon to do 6k a year I'm my 1969 Moss Box Plus 8, the car is coming up to 200k!!

Around 3,000 a year for me, but I am only in the second year of ownership.
I have asked for 5,000 on the insurance this year.
So, only just 'getting started' really. Being retired helps of course...
