Dear folks
thank you all so much for posting your comments. There are confirmung my personal rating of this problem which is helping me a lot.
So far the fuel pump is always sounding normal. Is is triggert for a couple of seconds when ignition is siwtched on, then terminates assuming it reached a defined pressure level. It behaves the same way when you switch off and on again. The only oddity is that is is terminating its pumping action at the mentioned low level.
By now I do not have another identical fuel pump availabe for exchange, but will ask my dealer to source one in time befor the Grindelwald event (risky timeline - I know).
Thanks for supplying the fuel pump type. I will try to gather some thechnical informations from the web during the evening hours.

Dear all
After having checked the mentioned Delphi FE0113 against the spareparts catalog of Morgan I am confused because they are lokking different ro the original fuelpump.
I stuck my head together with Ralf from local Automobil Manufaktur to see if we might find any feasable approach to proof our suspect and find an intermediate fix.
I will try to perform the following checks:
Try to disconnect the flush back line from the pump and measure once again the pressure the pump is able to supply. We are assuming that the presssure limiter is an integragtive part of the fuel pump and usually the limiter is placed in the flush back line. If it is faulthy and can't hold the necessary pressure we might be able to plug a separate limiter between the line and the pump.
If the problem is caused by a worn pump I am lost and need a new one.
Lets see what will be the result.

Could it be because the FEO113 pump is just the basic motor and not the complete unit that sits inside the tank as shown in Morgan parts manual.

In the thread I linked to above it explains how just the motor was replaced within the assembly.

For The complete unit the cost is 600€
If you change the basic motor with his harness the cost is 100€ And it is easy for doing it yourself whit the threat

Ok, just returned from my last investgations. Directly at the pump exit it can easily achive 8 bar pressure, when the fuel line is disconnected. However at the Schrader test valve at the right cylinder I am just getting around 2 bar.
The car is still under warranty.
I am still trying to understand the full constellation of the fuel system, somewhere the fuel pressure is limited to far down.

For anyone buying a replacement pump, I would recomend a pattern unit from Brit-car.
The original unit is known to be a problem on Land Rovers( why oh why not fit a unit from a cheaper car) and all you need to do is remove the sender unit and cut out a small plastic lug.
Cost £185 ex vat.
This unit has worked a treat and was reomended to me by a Morgwn specialist and LR enthusiast.
