I am looking to get a storm cover for my S1 Aero 8, which are peoples recommendations? In honesty I just want the best one that won't scratch the body. I have found: http://www.morganhoods.com/id13.htmlHowever it looks as though it attaches with hooks under the arches, I would prefer something like velcro that goes over the door handles or something similar so there is no chance of scratching the body in high winds. Any help is appreciated. Regards, Nick

I don't think you have much choice John Taylor at Morganhoods makes the majority of Morgan cockpit covers a great product. If you have concerns give John a call.

John Taylor has been making storm covers for many years, and only uses the best materials and elastic fixing. I have had my current areo cover for more than eleven years. Dave.

Just bought a cockpit cover for the s3 from John last week. Very quick service as he was just about to go on holiday (I think he is off for another 10days or so). Fits very well, and looks good with hood up or down.

I have a small cockpit storm cover which came with the Roadster, and a large one from John Taylor which fixes with elastic straps. We use the small cover frequently. Easy to fit and weatherproof. I would only use the big one on a clean car so that makes it of limited use. However on a trip to Devon when we got there with a clean car, I used it over a couple if days of heavy rain and it was excellent. But the cockpit cover is 100 times better. The small cover is Walker St Claire and coincidentally I had a chat to the owners at MOG 16.....

Ditto!
I have a cockpit cover version and use it all the time.
It works brilliantly well and is so quick and easy to put up.
Parked up in town last night - and popped it on - stops prying eyes etc!!

+1, I used the walker st claire on my trads and on the Aero, quick and easy to use, hood up or down and no scratching of the paint (my aero was a series 3, the cockpit cover slipped into the hard top locating lugs at the rear of the hood and over the side mirrors, weathered quite a few storms in France!)

Sorry folks, but I have not been impressed with a Walker St Clare cover - very thin material, not waterproof, easily dislodged in the wind and tore very easily - the tear being the reason I have now replaced it after 2.5 years. My old Librands cover lasted 11 years.
At MOG16, I succumbed and bought one from the factory stand - it looks very good although I have yet to try it. Covers the bonnet and the straps hook on to the bonnet catches at the front and (I hope) to the luggage rack at the back - so no paint scratching. The gentleman on the stand honoured their show price including p&p as they had run out when I got there.
