I too not impressed with St Clare cover for my 4/4...certainly not waterproof and short in length..had to stitch a strap to fix to wipers.
Met suppliers at Donnington classic one year and he admitted they are made shorter than originals as finding it difficult to get correct length from suppliers.

John Taylor's product excellent and 100% waterproof.

I've always used John Taylor storm covers and they've never let me down. Only just bought one for my S1. When I called him he asked if I wanted an extra piece to cover the vents on the bonnet as well.

This talk reminds me of an encounter I had one year at Silverstone with an MGA Owner. I'd parked the Roadster with the cockpit cover in place. As I returned to the car, the MGA owner enthusiastically said "I really must get one of these".
Puffing up with pride as I absorbed his epiphany, he then said "Who makes these storm covers?" blush

That's right, Malcolm. He asked me about the small flap to cover the vents, and I had it fitted. When I was in Ireland in the rain in May that flap would have been very useful.
I also like the way the cover would keep showers at bay even if the hood has not been erected underneath.
