Hi Chris,

On inspection MMC said they were showing signs of wear - I wasn't aware of any problem in use (although I must say it has never run so quietly and smoothly, as it now does).

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Paul,
Cam chest upgrade is how MMC referred to the new cam belt, pulleys and tensioners (that can't work loose) - my car also needed new cams (the originals were worn, which resulted in the timing slipping).
They no longer fit the ventilated front case - spacer washers is deemed to be enough.
I do intend to add my own additional ventilation (as per the new fit) this winter.
Hope this helps?

Thanks
Andrew

Just a quick update, after reading some of the comments & considering my own personal circumstances (realistically what with house renovation & work commitments, I probably wouldn't be able to actually drive it until next year anyway) decided NOT to go for it. According to the website the car is now SOLD so hopefully might see it on the forum soon anyway..

Kind of gutted really as it was my ideal colour/spec but hopefully pick up a similar newer & updated (or brand new) car next year.

Well then it wasn't meant to be. I hope you eventually get one.

My thoughts are this ...if I had another M3W ...and I would love one if I had the garage space ...I would but a post 2014 car version with the rear Louvres) or 2015/16.

I do believe the car/these later versions are now pretty well sorted ( mine was a May 12 car) .

Thats exactly what I'm thinking also.

BTW, looking at your Sig and location, you weren't at Tewkesbury classic car show few weeks ago were you, saw an Ivory 4/4 on display?

Hi All my name is also Paul and I am now the proud owner of this little car. B & C are doing some work on it now for me and hopefully it will be ready for Sunday at Brooklands so hopefully will be there with or without new car.

I am over the moon with it what a great car and going from two wheels this is luxury motoring for me !
