Just seen an advert for a 2009 Roadster with only 700 miles in the MSCC mag quoting reason for sale as "not for me, too old, too fat". Sizing apart, I do find that Morgan owners tend be, how can I put it ....... older chaps and no doubt some chappesses. I'm 49 3/4 and I have to say that its only in the last couple of years that I've become strangely attracted to them enough to contemplate buying one and subsequently have. Is it an age thing ? After all, you don't see too many footballers driving them ( not necessarily a bad thing ). Anyone know of any celebrity owners ? I know that in the early days Mick Jagger had a Plus 8, Peter Sellers had one too I think.
But did you notice that it only appeared for a single issue!
Re celebs, in addition to those you mention(in no particular order of precedence and indicative but not exhaustive) the list includes:
King Juan Carlos of Spain, Brigitte Bardot, Paul O'Grady( aka Lily Savage), David Bailey, Nicolas Cage, Whitney Houston, Queen Noor of Jordan, Ralph Lauren, Jonathan Ross, the short one from Top Gear( name escapes me for the moment) and most tellingly Sir Stirling Moss
You would be surprised who owns a morgan, even Simon Cowell had a new Roadster a couple of years ago.I am 48 and my P&J will be 2 years old in May. Loved every minute! Nick

Hey! Gerwyn, What about ME! n' DaveW, Boshly, Aeroman, and most importantly Simon, amongst others. If only 'Famous for Five minutes' famous all the same.

Sounds like someone who is talking themselves into a grave.
A large part of the enjoyment of owning a Mog is how young it makes one feel. I'll drive mine until I can no longer bend to get into the seat. Even then, I'll ask DaveW to find a way to allow me to access the car: a mini crane strapped to the boot perhaps

Frank, I didn't want to state the obvious. With several notable exceptions ( Sir Stirling for example ) the list I posted were MINOR celebs. True Royalty doesn't need publicity
