- might be worth investigating one of these units- http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/automatic-daytime-running-lights-wiring-kitthey seem to be pretty simple to wire up as all the wiring instructions are included  James

Or just wire the DLR to a switched live (with fuse).
