Met up with Wirewheel yesterday for a Run through to Stow on the Wold and a rather delicious sandwich lunch.
A wonderful sunny day - then off to Cheltenham to visit my 90 year old Mum down the old Tewkesbury road - a great run through.
Saw a Black M3W on entering Bishops Cleeve at about 2pm- waving was exchanged - anyone on here?

Every day of jumping into the Morgan for a drive is filled with excitement and joy for a fun day out. Except for today. For nearly 4 years, every time in my Morgan has felt like this. It's what I've wanted since I was aged 8 and saw a 4/4 four seater in yellow in the village that I grew up in supplied by Lifes Motors. My father went to marry my mother in a three wheeler driven by his nest friend and best man who was the jeweller inSouthport who had bought a succession of three wheelers off Billy Life so Morgans are in my genes. I am a Morganaholic and always will be. Buying a Morgan is always about buying it heart over head, there is no logic to have gone other than its just going to be bloody good fun. Today I backed my beautiful 4/4 Sport out of the garage for probably the last time. I set off in the most beautiful sunshine and gave it the beans as  was driving behind in the ubiquitous, grey boring BMW and couldn't catch me for dust. Where was I off to today? Off to take it to Lifes for them to try and sell it for us as head had to take over heart for business reasons. Today's drive made filled me with mixed emotions driving through the wind and sunshine. Lovely to be driving it but full of sadness as I felt I was being a traitor and the excecutiioner for being so disloyal as it's been so reliable during our ownership. We've had some superb drives out and adventures and hoped for man more together. Head says, it needs to be sold, heart says - I hope nobody buys it. Some might say it's only a car, get over yourself, but we build up such a bond with these cars that I do feel like I've given my child away. Being a Morganaholic I just hope this is a temporary situation.

What's more, you've achieved your lifetime dream of owning a Morgan, and there's nothing to stop you buying another one in the future. Let it motivate you in your new business venture

I would have sold the BMW, mine was a load of shite. Mogs are for ever.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Look on the bright side Roger. Next time you can have one with a spare wheel. And chums are chums whether you have a Morgan or not. Happy Birthday Giles!

I feel for you Roger...Morgans are special cars..more than a mix of metal and wood.
Hope you get what you wish for...

Wow Roger that truely is a sad time.
Yesterday I took the wife down to Taunton Mazda in the Mog for a heart over head decision - had a sideways moment on the A358 when I locked up the back wheels in an emergency breaking moment (forgot the proper way to handle it in the heat of the moment) no harm done (Phew) had a lovely drive there and back - wife had a heart over head moment in one regard and a head over heart moment in the other direction as she'll be letting go of Kermit her beloved StreetKa of 12 years this has caused her much heart wrenching (but we simply do not have the space for 5 cars we struggle with 4!)
The Roadsters rear clunk or knock has returned -grrr, I blame the anti FOD grids at work.
The engine note had a lovely drone I still think it needs a propeller on the front!
