Although I have owned my Roadster for five years, work commitments have delayed my initiation into Morgan events.Next year I am determined to attend at least one, which should I definitely go to? Thrill on the hill ,Shelsey Walsh,Silverstone Classic or Blenheim Palace?

They are all very different....so it depends what you want!
Thrill on the Hill is special, but you do run the risk of bending your P&J... Silverstone Classic is all about watching racing Blenheim is a day to natter to Morgan owners, look at other peoples cars and help raise money for charity.
Me, I'd do TOTH and Blenheim, I'm not a great fan of watching other people drive round and round. BUT we all differ....

I would add Prescott to your short list. Much better than Shelsley Walsh if you want to see what a Morgan can do, and far more picturesque, IMHO of course

I would certainly agree that Prescott should be on your list- where about are you based? Not sure TOTH will happen next year, I thought the factory's efforts were going to be put into the MSCC MOG event at Malvern. Blenheim will also not happen next year as The Roadster 100 Register organise their event every two years.

I have no personal knowledge of Morgan events but as a Yorkshireman living in the south ( well south wales) and a visitor to the likes of shelsley, prescott and castle combe, I would take some persuading that a hill climb is worth the effort of driving what is a fairly long way across country - 160 miles there and 160 miles back. There is a yorkshire group of morgan owners http://www.msccyorkshire.org.uk/events.htmlThe Morgan owners on this forum will tell you if the events are special enough to warrant the effort.

If you are a MSCC member (if not - why not!!) your local (& other) centre will have events - but I would suggest the MOG17 -weekend as a great place to meet other members, eat & drink together, try some of the fun events & go on the scenic runs etc. My first one at Newmarket really helped me to get to know others & feel I belonged. I think this year it will be a joint venture with MMC and at the 3 counties showground possibly in August.

There is no TOTH next year Keith , have you any idea why TOTH isn't happening next year and what the Morgan motor co intend to replace it with as it is the flagship Morgan event so to speak ?

WDR, firstly join your local MSCC centre (Yorkshire), they're a great bunch and have loads going on. The Silverstone Classic is a brilliant event and top value. Blenheim won't happen until 2018 but MOG 2017 will be unmissable. Mainly organised by the MMC it will be interesting to see if they incorporate a Shelsley hillclimb as part of the weekend. Certainly TOTH as such will not be held in 2017. Meanwhile there are plenty of tours, speed events and races which may be of interest within the MSCC. Get involved in the local and national MSCC scene and I'm sure you'll make lots of new friends and contacts as I have. Enjoy the car and the club, they're both highly recommended.
