Had my 4/4 serviced yesterday with excellent skills and service as always by Mike Duncan at Hartlebury. He asked me to say that: NO he is not closing down (in his 50th year of servicing I think he said) and he remains in Hartlebury though he has a very casual interest to perhaps look for premises nearer Malvern one day. Visiting his garage is like stepping back in time (in a good way!) and is a real pleasure.

I did hear anecdotally that a local sports car garage was putting the word around that he was closed/closing and it is most certainly not the case so hope everyone continues to support this fine gentleman and Morgan legend!

Agreed

Mike has probably forgotten more about Morgans that most of us have ever learnt.

He is 100% reliable and just so knowledgable about anything from 3 wheelers (ancient and modern!) to all of the 4 wheeled derivatives.

In his heyday he was quite a quick driver on both 3 and 4 wheels, but I suspect now he prefers a quieter existence.

Great to know that he is continuing. We have lost some of these long term Morgan folk and it is good that not all are following the retirement route.

Hope he can get the local papers to come and do an article on him.
That will scupper the nearby underhanded sportscar place!!!!

My father-in-law who hails from Worcester (and who celebrated his 85th last month) said he was the best Morgan engineer outside of the factory.

I'm sure I've seen a picture of Mike Duncan racing a three wheeler Morgan back in the late sixties. His passenger looks as though he is getting ready to abandon ship!

Known Mike since I bought a 1988 4/4 from Bill Wykeham in 1999 with 127.000 miles on the clock. Mike has attended to all its (important) needs and been a fund of useful advice. Lovely guy - one of the best!

Or is he checking the respective coordination of the main spring and rebound springs?
