Post Series 3 Land Rovers improved a lot Howard. When all is said and done, they are still agricultural implements, which is why I fail to understand the blinged up things like the "Twisted" versions. Or even the last generations of factory Station Wagons with electric windows and carpets...  Electric carpets wow

No different to a Morgan there Paul (sans hood)! Sound proofing in later ones is a lot better...  But, I haven't done any noise tests.

In 1988 Land Rover produced a 100 inch prototype. The one I drove had a V8 engine with an auto box.
Superb vehicle and IMHO a shame variants on this wheelbase never went into production.

Some built their own on RR or Disco chassis. One of my rally recovery pals had done just that...

Still got my D-90 though son #2 drives it now, 14 years old and 160,000 miles, don't think we'll ever sell it
