Glen, congratulations on the start of your build! I hope the process goes fast and smooth for you!

What is your list of options? Has the factory confirmed that they have all your parts on hand to help expedite the build? Did you mention that the total build time is only 10 days???

My order is scheduled for Build Week 39, which is THIS week. I know the factory is behind, and I am hoping for no more than a 3 week delay. Any insight you can share on the factory delays and what you've heard about the build time would be appreciated.

I sure hope they now have all those 2016 parts in stock....I've got quite a few of them on my options list....similar to Kirk's.

-Tom

Here is my spec. Nothing has been mentioned about delays on new parts. My dealer has quoted 10 days build time and has reconfirmed my factory visit for next thurs 6th October, when the build will be close to completion (ha!). My build was supposed to be Week 27, so it's 12 weeks late. If you have a build week of 39, I would get confirmation asap.

Glenn,

Your options are great....can't wait to see the body color!

What caused your 12 week delay??? I really hope my order doesn't fall into the same situation!

Enjoy your factory visit. If I was in the UK, I would certainly love a visit to the factory to see my car being built.

Best,
Tom

Thanks Tom. Regarding the delay, I had one official email from the factory stating that there was a 6 week delay due to engine supply issues, which was early July. My build date kept getting pushed on by a further two weeks until now. Speaking to my dealer last weekend, they then mentioned that there had been further issues with the engines that arrived and another batch ordered, hence a further 6 week delay. Apparently they are trying to catch up with the schedule, but obviously 12 weeks is a fairly long period to claw back.
