Geez...that really stinks! I requested an update from my dealer today on the start date for my production. I am HOPING the delay will be reasonable. 12 weeks is far from reasonable in my book!

If they can complete your car in 10 days, I would be very psyched for you....surprised and shocked, but psyched too!

What caused your 12 week delay??? I really hope my order doesn't fall into the same situation!

Enjoy your factory visit. If I was in the UK, I would certainly love a visit to the factory to see my car being built.

Best,
Tom

Thanks Tom. Regarding the delay, I had one official email from the factory stating that there was a 6 week delay due to engine supply issues, which was early July. My build date kept getting pushed on by a further two weeks until now. Speaking to my dealer last weekend, they then mentioned that there had been further issues with the engines that arrived and another batch ordered, hence a further 6 week delay. Apparently they are trying to catch up with the schedule, but obviously 12 weeks is a fairly long period to claw back.

Mine was recently moved from Week 42 to 44. When I asked for an update a few days ago this is what I received…

They will send me a note telling me your Morgan has been painted and that the chassis will go into production within 2-3 weeks. However this has been accelerated with the past couple of cars, and was followed with a notice that the vehicles were nearly completed within days of the first note. I will alert you to every notification I receive.

I am optimistic!

Kirk- You don't want to be special? I am not in Michigan and I promise not to order the "1MRWK" license plate.

I will have to admit that checking this Forum regularly is much more entertaining than reading the latest news about Donald Trump's testosterone. Hopefully this will soon change for those of us who are in the Hurry Up and Wait category.
