I'm not sure if that's good value or not, for a car that was well over £60k only 6 months and a couple of thousand miles ago. If only the engine, gearbox and rear end is salvageable, I suppose that is a fair price, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to pay more if I had been bidding. Even if rebuilt on a new chassis and front body, it will have a Category of accident damage against its' name.

Rebuild, sell to your mate abroad, deregister with DVLA, purchase back off your mate in abroad and reimport, register with DVLA and get a new number with no insurance loss recorded against it!

Rebuild, sell to your mate abroad, deregister with DVLA, purchase back off your mate in abroad and reimport, register with DVLA and get a new number with no insurance loss recorded against it!
And it never need leave your garage..

Surely that's not possible? It'll have the same chassis number and will be flagged up on the DVLA records.
