Mine. K&N filter and a home made front. Nice one. Do you have the K&N product code for that filter?

The picture on the box looks nothing like the filter I actually got. The seller fiddled with several boxes and filters before we got it right, so maybe a mismatch. The filter has a marking on the inside: A060B6 37 Part# on box: E-3226
The filter had to be notched on the inside rim for the four mounting "pillars" to fit, or rather the other way around. If you don't it will be more square than round.

No, I wish I had the skills for that. Bought them from Confederate Motorcycles in Alabama. The air cleaner front is home made, though.

Many thanks, I found the filter listed under E-3226 on image tag below. £35.99 delivered in the UK. Any hints on how you made that very neat cover?

Yup, that looks like my filter! Not even close to the picture on the box. Good find! I think I paid about 45 pounds for it.
I looked at a lot of different donors, if I may call them that, to make a front for the air intake, one of them being an IKEA kitchen scale with a stainless steel plate. A friend offered to make a plate of aluminium or stainless steel, but it turned out to be easier than that. I had a stainless steel cotton swab container from my dad's old surgery and I realised that the lid was just the right size. It fits the filter like a glove. I made a template out of card board, drilled four holes and there it was. Pretty unique.
Feels pretty good to have the old man involved in the car.

Slightly off thread, but I mounted my MIG29 clock in a stainless steel tea caddy bought from Oxfam for £3. Looks like its a factory option.
