I'm based in Wexham, in Berkshire. I have just purchased a very bright yellow Morgan 4/4 2 seater 1983 car. It drives well, but has high mileage, and needs some attention to the bodywork - so I may need some help from forum members in deciding what to do with the car now. This is my first experience of any Morgan. My other cars are classic red e-type fully restored - and Maserati Ghibli as daily driver. I'm really looking forward to the Morgan driving experience.

Welcome to the forum

Nice collection of cars. Did you restore the e-type?

Welcome from West Wales.
You are in the right place here for Morgan info.
Take some time to read through the forums to get a flavour of TM!
Brace yourself for the thread drifts, often involving fish, and the humour.
Above all don't be afraid to ask anything or chip in with comments.
Oh yes....You are lucky in living there where Hurricanes Hardly Happen so a lot of roof down driving!
Have you made contact with your local MSCC centre?

No - this was a completely impulse purchase for me with no actual research. As I've seen written before - the car found me! I sold a private registration number on car and classic and the seller saw my other cars and mentioned that he had a Morgan that he was thinking of selling. Six months later he gave me first refusal and I just bought it without inspecting it. I still haven't looked at the chassis underneath yet to make sure it is sound - although it had just got a new MOT from previous seller who owned it for over 17 years (and even named his child Morgan!). I bought it very cheaply and so don't feel that I will lose out. The dilemna is to spend sensibly on it and keep it as an everyday good weather drive. The e type I bought as a non runner for £13k. Spent another £40k on it. My Morgan is a different proposition and I must resist the temptation to spend lots of money - on her.

Welcome to TM and I hope you enjoy your time here - you have some fine cars thumbs.

A little bit of searching through the threads will reveal lots of technical answers, and if that fails ask away there are no silly questions on here, we are all learning (well there's lots but not Morgan related).

Enjoy your new adventures.
