Absolutely spot on, and that's why a good dog is such a wonderful gift, they ask for nothing but some food and love and repay it a hundred fold just by watching them enjoy every moment. My dog has been blind (as in both eyes removed) for the last six years and he is still full of sheer fun. We could learn a lot from them smile

Dave i am exactly two years from retirement on Monday.
Thinking about when to get my last pair of black lace up shoes.
i need to maximise the use but leave enough wear for family formal occasions.
After that a flying jacket and deck shoes will get maximum use.

Tricky isn't it Paul. I have a best pair of black lace ups - not for work. My current work pair may not last the distance as I do a lot of walking to stations etc. I'll probably have them soled and heeled at some point. If that's in nine months then that will be OK. My work shirts are showing their age now, and normally would have been replaced. I may be able to decant a couple of formerly best shirts into work use. I have two work suits which won't now get worn out, and two best suits. Interestingly one of my best suits was from M&S in 1986 and still looks new. I've used it very occasionally for work, but that has been a great value for money buy. I stopped wearing a tie in the summer, and might not restart now. Ties are getting quite rare where I get to, and I might even start clearing out my work ties. And so on...............
