I suspect I might have to compromise on a 4-seater to gain extra interior space - it will also find more favour with the wife. The shape appeals far less though and I'm having trouble envisaging how it would look in different colours so if anyone can add some 4-seater pictures to the colour sample post it'd be much appreciated.

If I went with a 4/4 Sport it would be black or grey - anyone got 4-seater in a similar colour?

Harald, Looks nice!

Have you any side on shots? Do the new 4-seaters have a more square - less raked rear?

Thanks

Mark

Hi there,

If you have a look at post 38462 you'll see a picture of the black 1988 4 seater that I've bought recently. If you look at my other posts I may have posted a link to a couple more pictures on my photobucket account (posting from my Wii browser so can't surf around and check the address - sorry). These are all I have I'm afraid because we just haven't had the weather to get out and clean and polish her to take some photos of my own.

I was not really too fussed about colour - but I'm rather pleased with the black - smart, mean.

It sounds like you are buying new - in which case I think you get an easy to use hood with a decent line to it - but I think you end up with smaller side screens at the rear. Mine has a removable hood which has big rear and side plastic windows in the top and large side-screens for the rear but does have quite a bulge (which I don't like so much but the hood will rarely be up so it doesn't really matter. I think the nearly-new models, I guess from 2000-ish until the Roadster version, have the decent squared off, almost "shooting brake" lines with a good amount of glass - I guess they were still lift-off.

You can probably see from all the "I think" and "I guess" that I'm not an expert but I hope it helps a little.

Good luck in your quest.

The third picture down was one I took at the factory - it was cream and dark blue - it was a stunning colour scheme in the metal! love

I think 4 seaters particulary lend them selves to two-tone colour schemes, and in my opinion they look far better in the metal than in photo's uk

This is a colour scheme that I really like; albeit on a lightweight Roadster. cloud9
