The car cutting out due to the inadvertent operation of the inertia switch, is likely to create the environment for someone to career into the back of you thereby operating the inertia switch which has already operated 🤔💤💤💤💤💤💤💤
Particularly if you're unfortunate enough to be on one of Britains new 'Smart Motorways', without a hard shoulder. Whomever thought those were a good idea has clearly not had a sudden BB seizure......
Coincidentally, a mate in a Lotus 340R hit an angry expansion joint on a Belgian autoroute last weekend whilst we were coming back from our 53rd Ardennes Hoonabout (trip report coming in due course....) and popped his Inertia Switch too. Fortunately that Belgium don't seem to have had the Smart idea as yet, so no harm done. But Monday morning traffic was dreadful and the car sure slowed down pretty quickly.
