I just opted for factory stage 2 kit on my 2017 M3W.

Does anyone knows what Stage 2 kit specs is, and how much performance increase?

Can only comment on the Krazy Horse tuning kits, which as you will see add an updated ECU (plus dyno set-up) to the stage 1 spec.

How can you opt for the "Stage 2 kit" when you don't know what it is or what it does?

I know what it does. but i heard conflicting info from the dealer. they mentioned camshaft mods.etc when i thought its just a computer add-on over stage 1.

What does it do over the Stage One, then..?

I just received a reply from the factory through my dealer about stage 2, and stage 3 performance upgrades.

Stage 2:
stage 1 + Cam's, Throttle body, Ecu. Adds +30 hp more. £2500

Stage 3:
Stage2 + CNC over ported heads , Cam's, Throttle body, Rockers, Ecu. +50 hp. £9,795.

Osama - Does the £2500 also include the Stage 1 exhausts and air filter?

I found Stage 1 was a big improvement over standard. The engine can breath and it sounds so much better. It gave quite a hike in performance.

I was a little less convinced at first when I had Stage 2 fitted a few months later, but I've grown to love it. It has a deeper exhaust note and it does pull stronger. I've also gone CAT free headers, which made it louder still, but pushes it very very close to 105dB in the noise test at race meetings....so I usually fit dB killers to keep me under the limit - Still measured 103dB at Mallory Park - with dB killers!

You will be able to flick the back end out with gay abandon at junctions, or fishtail away from a standing start in the dry, which is very much fun. In the wet you really do need to be more careful as it will fishtail at anything much above the lightest of dabs on the throttle!!

I would recommend everyone fits Stage 1 kit, its brilliant.....and Stage 2 is definitely another step up - an excellent one!

Finally, the M3W can handle the hike in power as I've found out on the race track this year. My car has raced at Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Mallory Park and been thrashed around Zandvoort, and as my confidence has grown its just got better and better and faster and faster!

This is BS, you need to talk to Chris at S&S to get the correct info. Stage ll will get you around 10HP and 21 torque. Also the 58mm throttle body that Morgan charges you for and is supplied in their Stage ll kit is worthless, as the ECU that comes with Morgan's kit is programmed for the stock 52mm unit and is locked, so you can't tune for the larger 58mm throttle body if you wanted to.
