A brief review in the latest Motorcycle Sport & Leisure magazine here

It's nothing more than I'd guess at, but the photo's are quite revealing.

I didn't know you could get a big bottle with a pump action spray bottle

As I've just run out of my aerosol spray I've just bought and ordered the 950ml bottle version off EBay

Wow those results are eye opening, great article.

Perhaps I need to get some for the Aero, my only worry is it'll attract dust and grit..

I wonder how many snakes are needed to fill a 950ml bottle?

It's definitely good stuff but I'm not sure it ought to be compared to WD40, they are really designed for different purposes.

Absolutely right, Steve. WD40 is great stuff, but it was never designed as a long-term corrosion protection agent.

A good few years ago I did a test with a sheet of 20 gauge steel. I covered a quarter of it with WD40, a quarter with Waxoyl, a quarter with Dynax S50, and left a quarter bare. I then left it out in my yard for a few months.

The results were pretty much as you expect, the WD40 quickly washed away in the rain and that area rusted as badly as the bare metal. The Waxoyl lasted longer, but still not great, and the Dynax was still doing a great job of protecting the metal a year later. I've got some pictures somewhere, I'll dig them out.

I've used ACF 50 on my bike for several years now and it does seem to work - no rusty bolt heads, in fact no rust at all. But I have also used Duck Oil on the bike and that seems to work just as well. Whats more its cheaper, British and not subject to American hype like ACF 50.

Which is probably why it doesnt feature as much
