Anyone know what they are originally from? Or are they bespoke?

As I understand it, they were bespoke version of units used on some high volume cars/SUVs (Ford???). They are pre-adjusted, unitised tapered roller bearings, the bespoke part being the tighter tolerances used to set the end-play during manufacture. I would get proper replacements if I could.

Anyone know what they are originally from? Or are they bespoke?Simon Remove one - it will have some identifying code stamped on it. It might even have a manufacturers code in which case you could order via a bearing factor. Neither Morgan nor any big car manufacturer manufacture their own bearings.

It might even have a manufacturers code in which case you could order via a bearing factor. Neither Morgan nor any big car manufacturer manufacture their own bearings. You'll destroy the bearing getting it off the hub, and without the right tools it's possible to damage the hub getting the hub nut undone. Simon @ SiFab.co.uk

I am beginning to think that it is time we collectively took out life insurance on SimonH just to ensure we have a future supply of odd parts and engineering services.

I'm guessing the wheel bearings aren't adjustable like in the "good old days"?

I once tried to do some Golf Mk4 bearings. I've changed bearings for years in various cars, but these were way beyond the tools I have, were non adjustable, and huge.
Some modern cars have one option - change the hub and bearing together........................
At least the trads are adjustable in the good old fashioned way.
