Some believe ,as I do,that the promises made for the ARP4 did not materialize on the actual car.!!!!
This is apart from handbrake issues and high emmissions !!
But I'm sure many owners will enjoy them.

This car has been there for some time - I think.
The price has come down a tad too!
Many owners are delighted - but some are disappointed.

why is the VED on this car £185.00, when it is £40 more for my 1989 4/4?

I know the ex-owner of this ARP4 and basically he told me that he just couldn't get on with it. He now owns a rather lovely new 3.7 Roadster. The ARP4 looks great and I am sure will soon find a new home.

MMC do seem keen on limited run/under developed 'specials'.
There seems to be little excuse needed in Malvern to run out some new take on the same old format.
Perhaps the ARP4 is slightly more than that, but I still believe they should concentrate on upping quality across the range rather than one off's.
With all of the much publicised teething troubles with the P4 the profit margin must have been severely hit.
When I was selling cars years ago, the additon of some stripes, a near side wing mirror and an exotic sounding name all helped to push crap out of the door and hit sales targets.

Clearly many customers do not like the lack of torque the engine produces. Having had many RS fast fords in my youth, i know characteristics of such an engine and i certainly wouldnt want for a road car today.

I had an ARP4 .. I drove over 2600 miles in it.
The build quality was excellent, the paint was superb too, better than any premium manufacturer.
The only 'issue' I had was the engine light came on, ECU mapping which was quickly resolved. However, the emissions would have failed the MOT .. apparently fix was on the way or now available.
That's it, no other issues. Excellent in my opinion.
The Cosworth engine was great fun .. if you revved it. Sounded glorious.

A track car for the road ? I went for a passenger ride when TM did the factory visit earlier this year , it went like a rocket and sounded amazing - pops and bangs etc ! Will they hold their value at £55-60k ?
Geneva 2016 plus 8' The Green Godess' 4 side exits .
