I've got ecotiles on my garage floor, they are a great product and I'm pleased I chose the brand but if I were to do it again I would go for grey rather than the black tiles that I went for. Black looks really smart when freshly cleaned, but as soon as you walk on it it shows every dusty footprint
This is what I mean. This photo was taken just before a cleanup, and gives a fair idea of what the tiles will look like in a real-world state. They look great when mopped and polished, but it takes a good couple of hours and so doesn't get done very often.
Nevertheless, the tiles give a great surface and are a lot more comfortable to kneel on than concrete.
Hamwich , you showed me some pics on your mobile a while back of the garage being constructed , thats the first pic of the inside I've seen and its very very impressive ! Can you tell me the make and model of your green car lift and how high it lifts and where you obtained it ?? I am doing my garages up from January 17 and am looking for ideas on interior so this is a big help !

That would ring alarm bells for me unless the house and garage were old. Our houses bar one have all been modern because thats what SWMBO likes. Never had an issue of tools or fasteners going rusty or a damp smell, and I have a silly collection of tools. No de-humidifier. Might be worth checking the damp proofing.
You cant lose by having a de-humidifier though it does cost to run and does require a good door seal. But it shouldnt be necessary in a modern build any more than it is necessary inside the house where the people and processes like cooking give off lots of water vapour. OK tyhe inside is heated but that only allows the air to hold even more water vapour.
Roger, I'm sure you could give Tim some tips if he decides to use the upstairs as a holiday let.
You know I was saying about the planning permission hassles? That's one of the conditions - we're not allowed to use it for any other purposes than specified in the application.
But it's great for making a noise with my guitars!
