My M3W originally had a Build Week of #39, but with the delays at the factory I will be lucky if production has actually started by now (Week #43).

When Glenn visited the factory 3 weeks ago, my build sheet was sitting somewhere in a wall mounted folder holder on the factory floor awaiting the start of production. I have been inquiring with my dealer to see if production has started, and last week they told me that it should have gone into production last week. I really have no way of knowing, and I hate to keep pressing my dealer for info....they aren't the most responsive.

If anyone is planning to visit the factory over the next week or two, can you please be on the lookout for my build? My Build # is 84012.

Ken is also eagerly awaiting the status of his M3W build. His Build # is 84024.

If anyone is heading to Malvern, please let us know! We would be grateful for some photos.

Thanks so much!

Unless you've paid for a build book, the factory highly frowns upon our "friends" taking pictures... you'd be asking them to get in trouble. A very good reason to buy the build book.

I did buy the Build Book with my car, and the only photos I would like to see at this point is proof that my M3W is actually in production. I can't seem to get a real answer from my dealer.

I wasn't aware that taking photos during the factory tour was frowned upon. There are a ton of photos on here from TM members that were taken during factory tours.

Unless there has been a management change in recent weeks, this is not true. You are free to take any photos but without flash.

You can take as many pictures as you want on the tour. And they were more than willing to help track down Tom and Kens build status.

Yes, there's no problem with taking photographs whilst on a factory tour, the enormous advantage you get with the build book is that the photographer is free to go wherever he/she wants, but on a tour you have to stay in the marked areas.

I have over 100 pictures of the two cars built at the factory and staff only too happy to be photographed even managed to get some shots in the paint lab at lunchtime!

Yes I've been to the factory three times over the last 4 years or so and I've taken loads of photos and have never felt that it's something frowned on, in fact it's been encouraged

I was there so often during my build that my conscience was clearer having also ordered the build book.

It's such a rare experience that you need to take full advantage!
